Campus Organizations
Libertarian Campus Organizations
The following is a list of Libertarian campus organizations at colleges, universities, and high schools. The schools are listed in alphabetical order of school name, using the most well-known version of the name. (For example, under Massachusetts, we use "Holy Cross" for purposes of alphabetization, although the formal name listed for the school is "College of the Holy Cross.") High school organizations in a given state are listed following the college organizations for that state.
Please note that some of the contact information may be incorrect or incomplete. We apologize for this; the effort to update contact information for the schools is an ongoing process.
Currently the campus coordinator is Dr. James W. Lark, III, Libertarian National Committee member (and former national chairman of the Libertarian Party) and professor in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia. If you want information about a specific school, or if you are interested in organizing a Libertarian group at a school, please contact Dr. Lark at jwlark@lp.org. If you find information in the list below that is incorrect, or if you wish to submit new information, please contact Dr. Lark.
We strongly urge libertarian students to become involved with Students for Liberty (www.studentsforliberty.org), a nonpartisan organization whose mission is to provide a unified, student-driven forum of support for students and student organizations dedicated to liberty. SFL, which supports an extensive network of pro-liberty student groups, has many excellent resources for libertarian students and libertarian student organizations. These resources include:
* Handbooks on effective student organizing (including a How to Start a Student Organization for Liberty Handbook and Libertarian Campus Calendar)
* Journal of undergraduate scholarship on liberty
* Student Conferences
* E-Leadership webinars for pro-liberty students
