About the Official
Erik Viker is an elected member and Vice-President of Selinsgrove Borough Council in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. The first Libertarian Party member elected to public office in the history of Snyder County, he chairs the borough Public Safety committee and sits on the committees for Personnel Management and Public Affairs. He is the Snyder County coordinator for the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania, a member of the state party Board of Directors, and is an associate editor of the Libertarian Penn state newsletter.
Viker holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. Viker is employed by Susquehanna University, where he is an Associate Professor of Theatre and teaches courses in production operations and management. His articles on theatre safety, management and education have appeared nationally in Stage Directions magazine, Teaching Theatre and the quarterly journal Theatre Design & Technology. As a freelance production technician, Viker has provided operations and technology services to civic theatres and performing arts organizations nationwide. Viker still works as a stagehand and is an active member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 636.
